The wings of the butterfly are heart shape and have a pretty warm ocean sunset scene with palm trees silhouette, remarkable how this intricate work is done. The brooch is in excellent condition, in spite of some cleaning that could be done. Measurements for this brooch are 1 3/4" wide and 3/4" tall. Small but makes a big statement.
